Dynamite Woman of Resilience Award

The Dynamite Woman of Resilience Award is sponsored by HR MOM LLC. This award is to honor the woman and mother the late Donna Marie Mike who managed to be a teenage mother, over come addiction, change careers, relocate to various states (alone), go back to college, and end an abusive relationship while being present and giving selflessly to others. She was indeed a dynamite woman of resilience. This monetary award ($1000) is awarded to a woman that has exhibited exemplary character and resilience while managing the transitions of life.

2023 Honoree Latoya Bell

The 2023 Dynamite Woman of Resilience Award is awarded to Latoya Bell. Latoya, a single mother, caregiver, and breast cancer warrior, embodies selflessness and strength. HR MOM LLC recognizes her resilience with the Dynamite Woman of Resilience Award, a well-deserved tribute to her unwavering spirit.

2022 Honoree Dyneshia “Nay” Harvey

The 2022 Dynamite Woman of Resilience Award is awarded to Dyneshia “Nay” Harvey. Dyneisha is a single mother of a 15-year-old son. She worked hard to obtain several titles and certificates. She is an instructor, a businesswoman, and a LPN. She is showing her son that she can overcome obstacles and change the narrative of what a single mother-son duo can accomplish. She is excited to continue breaking down barriers and changing the narrative of what it means to be a “single mother.” She is indeed a dynamite woman of resilience.

Nay will receive $1000, a basket full of self care items, and a luncheon.

2021 Honoree Kim Lozada

Kim is an aspiring chef that seeks to feed the homeless when she opens her own restaurant. She is always looking for ways to serve others while having needs herself. She has recently transitioned into her new home, and we were happy to provide her a basket of cooking essentials and other sponsored gifts to help her settle in. The basket was curated by Gifted & Glory with items from HR MOM, Jaycee’s Body and Soul Creations, and Favors for Life LLC.

The Bluest Eye

Imagine we can create our own piece of “Wakanda” for brown girls in Philadelphia! As a young girl, I was always drawn to the arts and although I’ve never acted, sang, dance or painted, I have been known to be a little dramatic! OK, a lotta dramatic! The arts has always been a way for me to learn about life and discuss some of the harder topics. Now, as a mother to 13 and 7 year old daughters, I often infused the arts into their lives. It is really important to me that my daughters and brown girls specifically see themselves in a positive light and own their “magic”.

Professionally, the opportunity to provide girls in urban communities with cultural experiences that shape their beings will continue to be a part of the HR MOM service mission. The themes in this play and book are very relevant to the identity issues many of our school aged young girls are facing today.

My goal was to have small businesses (owned by Black women) sponsor the costs of the tickets, therefore, there would be no costs to the attendees! We have successfully purchased 210 tickets for middle/high school aged girls attending public, charter, independent, or private schools in Philadelphia to attend the show on Saturday, March 31st at 8pm!
